The Dixie Cups sang, “Goin’ to the chapel and we’re Gonna get married…” but is this where the brides and grooms of today get married??? Getting married at the church or getting married in a park, backyard or even in a hot air balloon, it is always the ultimate question when starting your wedding planning. Many years ago, without doubt the church was the traditional most popular place to have your ceremony and the wedding cost only a few thousand dollars however trends have changed over recent years and couples like the thought of a unique wedding which then attracts a considerable cost.

No doubt everyone wants their wedding to be a beautiful and memorable day, however due to outside influences sometimes this is not always the case. Wedding Insurance has proven to provide many couples with peace of mind, although for many of us this type of insurance may be foreign and make you feel a little awkward. You are probably thinking, wedding insurance… what the??? I’m not anticipating something going wrong before or on my wedding day. Of course, that is something that no one would every want to happen. The reality check is though as much as we want an ideal wedding, we live in a less than ideal world.

The benefits are awesome, the fact that it covers your financial investment towards your special day. Kelly Day, Business Development Broker for Mojomo Insurance Brokers the provider of Wedding Protection Insurance says, “at a small cost of $251, for the 12 months leading up to the special day, who wouldn’t protect their special day!”

Couples want their guests to remember their wedding and for it to stand out from others they have been to. Brides and grooms not only want a unique ceremony venue, they also want to encompass exclusive bombonieres, table decorations, flowers, gift registries and the list goes on and on. However, unique weddings, well in fact most weddings come with a financial burden and in some cases couples are paying off loans for their wedding years later. Whilst wedding insurance has not been traditional like home and car insurance, nor has the extreme increase in cost been so outrageous.
