In 2000 Karen Willis Holmes founded her bridal couture company in Sydney, reflecting her life long love of fashion and in particular the 18th Century and the 1940’s. Hence Karen’s designs celebrate historic romance, sensuality and the spirit of the modern young woman, all with a twist. The Karen Willis Holmes couture collection is positioned at the highest end of the luxury market providing a stylish modern alternative to the traditional bride. In 2004 Karen was inspired to create a ready to wear collection, making her gowns more accessible to clients that require a more innovative couture look, but with the ease and price of a ready to wear gown. The ready to wear client appeal is high, driven by a modern high fashion design ethic, with a fabulous fit and finish, couture like quality and a high level of customer service. The Paddington store in Sydney was opened in September 2004 and has proved so succesful Karen opened her Melbourne store in Armadale on 14th February 2006.
